Inspired from a real life renovation and restoration of a Mid Century Modern home located in Encino, CA by Woods + Dangaran, I felt compelled to pay homage to this home by recreating it in a very near meticulous visual representation. I first researched the site elevations from the architects and quickly began drafting a slightly smaller scaled version of the floor plan in Autocad. Once completed, I started building the home in Sketchup using the floorplan I had created. From there, I modeled the architectural details such as millwork, skylights, and extensive floor to ceiling windows. To further portray the realistic render of my creation I studied various materials used and fine tuned material selections in Enscape while embellishing on existing components to recreate a similar story.
